ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Saturday declared Pakistan's sincere resolve to continue its role as a mediator toward achieving regional and global peace and stability.
According to a press release by the Prime Minister's Office, PM Sharif and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met with a senior Iranian delegation ahead of the Islamabad Talks.
The Iranian side was led by Speaker of the Iranian Consultative Assembly, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf. Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi also accompanied him, according to the PMO’s Office Media Wing.
The meeting was also attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar and Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi from the Pakistani side.
