Forces continue effective operations against terrorism in Balochistan: Security sources

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces continued effective operations against terrorism in Balochistan with 13 terrorists killed so far in army’s Operation Al-Azm against Fitna ul Hindustan, security sources said on Saturday. 

Pakistani authorities officially use the term Fitna al Hindustan for the banned Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA), which Islamabad says receives external backing from India to carry out attacks aimed at destabilizing the country.

According to the sources, the forces carried out a successful operation in the Mastung district against the proscribed terrorist group. 

“The number of terrorists killed in Operation Al-Azm by security forces has reached 13 so far,” security sources said, adding that several ambushes of Fitna-ul-Hindustan were destroyed.

“Arms, ammunition and IED-making materials were also recovered during the successful operation,” sources said, adding that confirmed reports of several terrorists being injured in the effective operation.

The forces said they would continue operation until terrorism is eliminated and peace and order is established in Balochistan.
