Islamabad: At least five terrorists were killed after security forces carried out an intelligence-based operation in Balochistan’s Khuzdar District, the Pakistani military said in a press release on Wednesday.

In May, considering the involvement of some organizations and groups in terrorist activities in Balochistan, the government decided that all terrorist groups and organizations operating there would be referred to as "Fitna al Hindustan.”

Last week, at least 35 terrorists were killed in two separate engagements in KP. Whereas, in a separate incident, security forces killed 19 terrorists in three separate clashes in the province. Similarly, at least five terrorists were killed while five soldiers embraced martyrdom on Monday after an improvised explosive device exploded near the security forces’ vehicle in Balochistan’s Kech District.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), in the night between September 14 and 15, forces conducted an IBO, during which, our own forces effectively engaged the terrorists’ location, and “after an intense fire exchange, five Indian sponsored terrorists were sent to hell.”

“Weapons, ammunition and explosives were also recovered from the terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area,” ISPR said.

It said that sanitization operation was being conducted to eliminate any other terrrorist found in the area.

“Security forces of Pakistan are determined to wipeout the menace of Indian sponsored terrorism from the country, and reaffirm the nation’s unwavering resolve to bring the perpetrators of terrorism to justice,” the statement said.
