ISLAMABAD: Pakistan security forces killed 10 terrorists and apprehended two female suicide bombers along with facilitator in multiple operations in Balochistan, said a statement released by Pakistan military’s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Wednesday.
“In continuation of security forces operations against the terrorists nexus of Indian sponsored Fitna al Hindustan and Fitna al Khwarij, comprehensive joint operations are being carried in different parts of Balochistan to weed out remnants of terrorists and their facilitators,” the statement said.
Ten terrorists killed
Giving details, the ISPR press release said, “In last 48 hours security forces have conducted multiple intelligence-based area sanitization and targeted operations in District Surab and District Mastung of Balochistan, during which 10 terrorists were killed.”
“During the conduct of these operations, security forces effectively engaged the terrorist locations, killing seven terrorists in District Surab.”
The statement further said, “Whereas three terrorists were killed and two female Suicide Bombers along with facilitator were also apprehended in District Mastung belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna al Hindustan.”
Weapons recovered
“Weapons, ammunition and improvised explosive devices used by terrorists were also recovered from the terrorists.”
The ISPR statement added, “Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area.”
“Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision “Azm e Istehkam” (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by Security Forces and Law Enforcement Agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,” the statement concluded.
‘Successful operation against terrorists’
Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif commended the officers and personnel of the security forces for the successful operation against terrorists what it called as “Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan in Balochistan,” said a statement by the Prime Minister Office (PMO).
“The Prime Minister praised the security forces' officers and personnel for killing ten terrorists in Surab and Mastung districts, and for arresting two female suicide bombers along with their facilitator,” said the statement.
"No one will be allowed to destroy the peace of Balochistan," the prime minister said.
In a separate statement, President Asif Ali Zardari also paid tribute to the security forces for killing 10 terrorists in Surab and Mastung districts of Balochistan, according to a statement by the President Media Wing.
It said that effective operations by the security forces against the terrorist networks of Fitna al-Hindustan and Fitna al-Khawarij, which are active in Balochistan with Indian backing, are essential for national peace, the President said.
"The fight against terrorism driven by external interference will continue," President Zardari said.
