ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Navy and the Chinese People&#39;s Liberation Army (PLA) Navy concluded &#39;Sea Guardian IV&#39; exercise, held from March 25 to April 1, 2026, to enhance interoperability and maritime cooperation, the military&rsquo;s media wing said on Wednesday.&nbsp;&ldquo;The exercise concluded with a coordinated patrol in the Arabian Sea, reaffirming both navies&rsquo; commitment to regional maritime security and stability,&rdquo; according to the ISPR.&nbsp;The exercise included air defense drills against multi-domain swarm threats, submarine operations with the Pakistan Navy, conventional war-at-sea exercises, and live gunnery firing to enhance operational and tactical coordination.&nbsp;During the port visit, PLA Navy Ship &#39;DAQING&#39; was welcomed by PNS TAIMUR, with activities including exchange visits, naval orientations, professional discussions, and a maiden Young Officers Seminar.&nbsp;&ldquo;The exercise included a five-day port phase in Karachi and a two-day sea phase in the North Arabian Sea,&rdquo; it concluded.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani security forces killed 13 terrorists during two intelligence-based operations in the northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, the military announced on Wednesday.&nbsp;According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on Monday, March 30, in Khyber and Bannu districts.&nbsp; In the first operation in Khyber&#39;s&nbsp;Bara area, 10 terrorists were killed after an intense exchange of fire. Three more terrorists were neutralized in a separate operation in Bannu, the statement added.&nbsp;Security forces have launched sanitization operations to clear the areas of any remaining terrorists.&nbsp;The military said the operations are part of an ongoing counter-terrorism campaign aimed at eliminating <a href="https://www.pakistantv.com/article/operation-ghazab-lilhaq-435-killed-as-pakistan-strikes-afghan-targets" target="_blank" style="color:#0073e6;" rel="noopener noreferrer">foreign-sponsored terrorism</a> from the country. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif praised security for the successful operations. &ldquo;Our security forces are like a solid wall against terrorism to protect the country.&rdquo;&nbsp;He said the government is determined to eliminate terrorism from the country.

13 terrorists killed in northwest Pakistan operations: Military

ISLAMABAD: Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has stressed that terrorists operating from sanctuaries across the border in Afghanistan will not be allowed to undermine Pakistan&rsquo;s security. The CDF made the remarks during his visit to Kurram, where he spent Eid-ul-Fitr with troops and officers, according to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Saturday. He offered Eid prayers with soldiers and prayed for the country&rsquo;s peace, stability and prosperity. Interacting with officers and troops, the CDF extended Eid greetings and praised their high morale, professionalism and unwavering commitment in safeguarding the nation. He commended the troops for their performance in Operation Ghazab-lil-Haq, noting that the operation is focused on dismantling terrorist networks and ensuring lasting peace in border regions. Reaffirming Pakistan&rsquo;s stance, the CDF said Afghan soil must not be used by hostile elements to carry out activities against Pakistan, while underscoring the country&rsquo;s commitment to regional peace and stability. Paying tribute to the martyrs, he said the success of ongoing operations is rooted in the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and the determination of officers and jawans. He also expressed pride in the troops&rsquo; steadfastness and reiterated the armed forces&rsquo; resolve to defend Pakistan&rsquo;s sovereignty and territorial integrity. Pakistan armed forces reaffirm readiness to counter threats

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan&rsquo;s security forces have killed 34 terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations across the country, the military&rsquo;s media wing said on Wednesday, underscoring what it described as a sustained and high-tempo counterterrorism campaign.&nbsp;In a statement, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the operations were conducted over the past few days in multiple districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, targeting militants linked to what it termed &ldquo;Indian proxies, Fitna Al Khwarij and Fitna Al Hindustan.&rdquo;&nbsp;According to the statement, 26 terrorists were killed in four separate engagements in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, while eight others were neutralized during a separate intelligence-based operation in Balochistan.&nbsp;&ldquo;The movement of a group of khwarij in the general area of Hassan Khel, North Waziristan district, who were trying to infiltrate through the Pakistan-Afghanistan border, was picked up by the security forces,&rdquo; ISPR said.&nbsp;During the ensuing exchange of fire, one terrorist, later identified as an Afghan national, was killed, it added.&nbsp;In another intelligence-based operation in Lakki Marwat district, three terrorists were killed, according to the statement. ISPR said that in two separate engagements in the Narmi Khel area of Bannu district, security forces neutralized 10 terrorists.
