ISLAMABAD: Pakistan will face Oman in the fourth match of Group A in the Men’s T20 Asia Cup Friday (today) at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

The game starts at 7:30 p.m. (PKT).

Pakistan comes into this match after winning the recent tri-series in the UAE, where they defeated Afghanistan by 75 runs in the final. Mohammad Nawaz took five wickets and scored a hat-trick. Earlier this year, Pakistan lost a one-day international (ODI) series 2-1 to the West Indies.

Oman is playing in the Asia Cup for the first time. Their squad is mostly new after a pay dispute forced many experienced players to leave. Oman last played a T20 International in February 2025, losing a series to the U.S.

Veteran Pakistani players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan did not make the squad this time. Pakistan might rely on its spinners, Abrar Ahmed and Sufiyan Muqeem, to exploit the spin-friendly conditions.
