ISLAMABAD: Pakistan has welcomed positive developments toward advancing the Gaza Peace Plan, expressing hope that the latest progress will lead to the full implementation of all commitments under the agreement.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Saturday said, “Pakistan appreciates the sustained mediation efforts of the United States, Egypt, Qatar, and Turkiye in advancing the peace process.”
The statement further said, “Pakistan expressed confidence that the recent developments would help reinforce efforts aimed at achieving lasting peace and stability in Gaza.”
Pakistan also reaffirmed its support for the inalienable right of the Palestinian people to self-determination through a credible and time-bound political process in accordance with international law, international legitimacy, and relevant United Nations resolutions.
"This process should culminate in the establishment of an independent, sovereign, contiguous, and viable State of Palestine, based on the pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its Capital," the statement said.
The Board of Peace (BoP) is an international organization established under US President Donald Trump's Comprehensive Plan to End the Gaza Conflict to oversee the implementation of the Gaza ceasefire, civilian reconstruction, and the transition to Palestinian technocratic governance following the Israeli attacks on Gaza.
The Board was endorsed by UN Security Council Resolution 2803 (2025), which also authorized it to supervise the National Committee for the Administration of Gaza (NCAG), a transitional Palestinian technocratic body responsible for Gaza's civil administration.
Pakistan is among the participating member states of the Board, alongside several other countries.
