ISLAMABAD: India’s "Cockroach Janta Party" founder Abhijeet Dipke arrived at Lucknow airport on Friday to participate in a peaceful protest at Eco Garden against the Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.

In a post on X, Dipke said he was traveling to the Uttar Pradesh capital after participating in what he described as two successful and peaceful protests in New Delhi and Pune.

"Will join the students there tomorrow to demand resignation of Education Minister," he wrote on Thursday.

According to a post by his party, if local authorities denied permission for the demonstration, Dipke would personally approach police officials and request approval for the gathering.

The party held its first major street protest at Jantar Mantar in New Delhi, calling for Pradhan's resignation over major exam irregularities, including question paper leaks and technical glitches.

Within weeks, the movement has amassed more than 22 million followers on Instagram, making it one of the most prominent youth-driven online campaigns in India.
