Eight militants killed in Pakistan’s northwest: security sources

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s security forces killed eight militants in an operation in the northwestern region of Lakki Marwat, security sources said on Friday.

In the operation carried out on Oct. 24, eight militants were killed while five were seriously injured, the sources said.

The operation was conducted by security forces on intelligence reports in the Wanda Sheikh Allah area of Lakki Marwat.

Operations to continue 

A search operation is ongoing in the area amid fears of the possible presence of more terrorists.

Under the National Action Plan, operations will continue until the elimination of the last militant and the complete restoration of peace and order, the security sources said.
