ISLAMABAD: A 13-year-old Pakistani boy rescued by the army has described systematic sexual abuse at multiple terrorist-controlled facilities in a tribal region bordering Afghanistan, security sources said. The boy, identified only as Ikramullah, was abducted from a petrol pump in his village of Sangeri by two operatives of Fitna al-Khawarij, named in his testimony as Selaab and Abasin, and subsequently moved through at least four mosque-based facilities used by the group as operational centers in North Waziristan district, in Pakistan&#39;s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, bordering Afghanistan. Pakistani authorities use the term &quot;Khawarij,&rdquo; rooted in early Islamic history, to describe the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and allied militant networks, casting them as outlaws who reject legitimate authority and deliberately target civilians and state institutions. In his own words, Ikramullah described what he endured: &quot;In Manzarkhel, the mosque was made into a center. There were three or four other boys there&hellip; some younger than me and some older than me.&rdquo;&nbsp; &quot;During the day, they used to make us bring food from people&#39;s homes, and used to rape me at night,&rdquo; he said. &quot;Fifteen of them were Afghans and some were from my village and Miranshah.&quot; Ikramullah said he was moved from Manzarkhel, a small settlement in North Waziristan, approximately 15 kilometres from the Afghan border, to a facility at Tapi, then back to Manzarkhel, before being taken to Khulziai and finally to Palangzai where the abuse continued at each location. &quot;There was a mosque in Khulziai which was called the Spain mosque. After that, they took me to Palangzai and raped me there on the third day. In Palangzai, the mosque was also made into a center,&quot; he said. The Pakistan Army launched an operation in Palangzai during which Ikramullah was wounded. He was evacuated, treated, and subsequently gave his account to authorities. &quot;The army bandaged my wounds. I spent two days there and they gave me good food,&quot; he said. Social experts and child protection advocates condemned the disclosures, describing the use of mosques to carry out sexual crimes against children as a profound desecration of sacred spaces and a defining mark of the group&#39;s ideological bankruptcy. &quot;A fitna that massacres innocent civilians and sexually exploits children deserves no leniency whatsoever,&quot; experts said. Security sources said the testimony further exposes the true nature of Fitna al-Khawarij, whose fighters, the majority of them Afghan nationals according to the victim, have long used Pakistan&#39;s tribal belt along the Afghan border as an operational base. The group is designated a terrorist organisation by the Pakistani state.

Punjab transfers Rs11 billion ($39.5 million) annually to Balochistan from provincial revenue, demonstrating shared burden, he stated, according to APP. The prime minister stated that federal investment in Balochistan includes agricultural and infrastructure projects. Solar panel installations for farmers cost Rs70 billion ($251.6 million), with the federal government providing Rs50 billion ($179.7 million). Meanwhile, the Gwadar-Chaman dual carriageway project costs Rs300 billion ($1.078 billion). Peshawar sits just 53 kilometers from the Afghan border, a region that has witnessed persistent violence from across the border. The terrorists belong to Fitna-ul-Khawarij (Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan). The group operates with backing from the Afghan Taliban, Afghanistan&#39;s interim government. The TTP has carried out several attacks across Pakistan in recent years. Wanted leader among five terrorists killed in Waziristan operation: Security sources  

ISLAMABAD: At least seven people, including two police officers, were martyred and several others wounded in a roadside explosion in a crowded market in Pakistan&#39;s northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Tuesday, according to security sources. ISLAMABAD: Pakistan military, in an operation conducted on 21 April in the northwest of the country, killed 22 terrorists, said a press release issued by the military&rsquo;s media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) on Friday. &ldquo;On 21 April 2026, a joint intelligence-based operation was conducted by security forces and law enforcement agencies in Khyber District on reported presence of khwarij (terrorists).&rdquo; During the conduct of the operation, after intense exchange of fire and skillful engagements by forces, 22 terrorists, belonging to Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij, were killed, the press release said. &ldquo;Due to cowardice and fear of getting apprehended alive, terrorists resorted to indiscriminate firing, which resulted in martyrdom of a ten years old innocent child,&rdquo; the statement added. &ldquo;Weapons and ammunition were also recovered from killed Indian-sponsored terrorists, who remained actively involved in numerous terrorist activities in the area.&rdquo; Sanitization operation is being conducted to eliminate any other terrorists found in the area as relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision &ldquo;Azm e Istehkam&rdquo; (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign sponsored and supported terrorism from the country and such sacrifice of our innocent civilians further strengthen our resolve, the press release said.

22 Indian-sponsored terrorists killed in Khyber operation: Pakistan military 

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan security forces killed two terrorists, including a wanted ring leader and a suicide bomber, during an intelligence-based operation in Bannu District, the military&rsquo;s media wing said on Monday. According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operation was conducted on April 19 after reports about the presence of terrorists belonging to what it described as the&nbsp;<a href="https://www.pakistantv.com/article/security-forces-kill-34-terrorists-in-kp-and-balochistan-operations-army" target="_blank" style="color:#0073e6;" rel="noopener noreferrer">Indian-sponsored Fitna-al-Khwarij</a>. During an intense exchange of fire, security forces killed the ring leader, Waheedullah alias Mukhtiar, along with a suicide bomber. The military said a suicide jacket, weapons and ammunition were recovered from the killed terrorists. Waheedullah was on the most-wanted list for his involvement in several terrorist attacks, including the killing of security personnel and civilians. ISPR said he was also the main handler of the suicide bomber involved in the February 21 attack in Bannu that led to the martyrdom of Lieutenant Colonel Gul Faraz. The military described the latest operation as revenge for the &ldquo;heinous act&rdquo; and said the main perpetrator had been brought to justice. It added that the timely action by security forces averted a major catastrophe. A sanitization operation is underway to clear the area of any remaining terrorists. The military said Pakistan&rsquo;s security forces and law enforcement agencies would continue counter-terrorism operations under the &ldquo;Azm-e-Istehkam&rdquo; campaign to eliminate what it called foreign-sponsored terrorism from the country. The prime minister expressed grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident that took place in the northwest of the country. Sharif prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured, the press release said. &ldquo;We are determined to completely eradicate all forms of terrorism from the country&rdquo;, the prime minister said.
