ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Under-19 cruised into the final of the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup 2025 after registering a convincing eight-wicket victory over Bangladesh Under-19 in the semi-final at the Sevens Stadium in Dubai on Friday.
Pakistan will now meet arch-rivals India in the final scheduled for Sunday, December 21, at the ICC Academy Ground, with the match set to begin at 9:00 am local time.
The rain-hit encounter was shortened to 27 overs per side due to overnight showers and a damp outfield. After a delayed start, Pakistan captain Farhan Yousaf opted to field, a call that proved decisive as his bowlers dismissed Bangladesh for 121 in 26.3 overs.
Right-arm pacer Abdul Subhan spearheaded the bowling attack with a superb four-wicket spell, tightening the screws in the middle overs. He received solid backing from Huzaifa Ahsan, who claimed two wickets, while Ali Raza, Mohammad Sayyam and Ahmed Hussain took one wicket each.
For Bangladesh, Samiun Basir was the top scorer with 33 runs.
Chasing a modest target, Pakistan reached 122 for two in just 16.3 overs. Opener Sameer Minhas anchored the innings with an unbeaten 69 off 57 deliveries, hitting six boundaries and two sixes.
Usman Khan contributed a quick 27, featuring two fours and two sixes, while Ahmed remained unbeaten on 11 to guide Pakistan comfortably across the line.
