ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT) chairman and Bangladesh chief of army staff discussed various prospects for defense cooperation between the two countries on Sunday.
A post on Bangladesh Army’s social media account, X, on Sunday, stated that Lieutenant General Shakirullah Khattak, chairman of HIT, Pakistan and the Chief of Army Staff of Bangladesh General Waker-Uz-Zaman discussed various prospects for defense cooperation between the two nations.
A delegation led by Lt General Khattak paid a courtesy call on with the Bangladesh chief of army staff at the Army Headquarters in Dhaka.
Earlier, on October 28, a delegation led by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee of Pakistan General Sahir Shamshad Mirza paid a courtesy call on with the Bangladesh Chief of Army Staff at the Army Headquarters, according to another Bangladesh Army social media post.
“In addition to exchanging mutual greetings, they discussed about strengthening cooperation between the two countries in the fields of defence and security.”
“They also exchanged views on the prospects of enhancing military cooperation through joint training programs, seminars and visits,” the post said.
