NEW YORK: Pakistan emerged as the fastest-growing market for VEON in the second quarter of 2026, with total revenue from the market rising 26.6% year-on-year to $500 million, helping the global digital operator post its strongest quarter of the year.
Speaking exclusively with Pakistan Television Digital’s Ayesha Mir in New York, VEON Group CEO Kaan Terzioğlu discussed the company’s Q2 2026 results, which showed total revenue increasing 17% year-on-year to $1.27 billion, while digital revenue surged 53.6%.
Terzioğlu said Pakistan outpaced all other VEON markets in total revenue growth, reinforcing JazzWorld’s position as the group’s largest operating company.
He discussed the factors driving Pakistan’s growth, the evolution of JazzWorld’s digital ecosystem and the company’s expanding international footprint.
The VEON CEO also highlighted Kyivstar’s recent Nasdaq milestone, saying the development offered a broader indication of the group’s global ambitions and could carry significance for Pakistan’s own aspirations to strengthen its presence in the international digital economy.
VEON has also raised its full-year outlook following the strong second-quarter performance.
