ISLAMABAD: Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan Reza Amiri Moghadam met with Pakistan's Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar to discuss progress in bilateral cooperation, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In a post on X, the Foreign Office said that the Iranian ambassador briefed Dar on efforts under various institutional mechanisms between Pakistan and Iran to strengthen cooperation in different areas.
The briefing followed recent high-level visits between the two countries.
Dar said Pakistan remains committed to expanding engagement with Iran in priority areas, according to the ministry.
The two sides also discussed the evolving regional situation.
Foreign Minister Dar said dialogue and diplomacy remain the only effective means of resolving outstanding issues and achieving lasting peace, stability and prosperity in the region.
