Pakistan's DPM Dar, Turkish foreign minister discuss regional developments

ISLAMABAD: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a phone call with Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan to discuss the latest regional developments, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs' post on X. 


The call came amid continuing diplomatic efforts by Pakistan and other regional partners to reduce tensions and support peaceful engagement.


According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ post, Dar and Fidan exchanged views on the evolving regional situation.


Both leaders reaffirmed the importance of dialogue and diplomacy for the peaceful settlement of disputes.


The exchange reflected close coordination between Pakistan and Turkiye on issues of mutual interest.


Dar briefed his Turkish counterpart on Pakistan’s diplomatic outreach and efforts to support regional peace.



Fidan and Dar also reviewed bilateral ties and agreed on the need to maintain regular contact.


Pakistan has repeatedly called for restraint and diplomacy as conflicts and tensions continue to affect regional stability.


The latest conversation underscores Islamabad’s position that dialogue remains the only viable path for resolving disputes.


Turkiye has also remained engaged in regional diplomacy and has maintained close contact with Pakistan on key international developments.


The two foreign ministers agreed to continue consultations as diplomatic efforts move forward.
