JERUSALEM: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Monday said he was still getting final reports on Hamas leaders in Doha, adding that he does not rule out further strikes on Hamas leaders "wherever they are".
His comments come ahead of an emergency Arab-Islamic summit scheduled for Monday at 6 p.m. in Doha (8 p.m. PKT). Nearly 60 Arab and Islamic countries will convene to condemn the Israeli aggression and show solidarity with Qatar.
The Israeli prime minister is alongside U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio where both countries said they would continue to act together to protect the two countries.
"Rubio's visit is a clear message that America stands with Israel in face of terror," Netanyahu said.
Rubio called for the disarmament of Palestinian fighter group Hamas during a joint press conference.
"Hamas needs to cease to exist as an armed element that can threaten the peace and security of the region," said Rubio, who is visiting Jerusalem less than a week after Israel targeted Hamas leaders in Qatar.
He added that Washington would also continue to impose maximum pressure on Iran, which backs the Palestinian militant group, until Tehran "changes course".
