The blast occurred around 4:43 pm Monday at the Liuyang Huasheng Fireworks Manufacturing and Display Company. Authorities ordered fireworks producers in Changsha, which oversees Liuyang, to halt operations for safety inspections. More than 480 rescuers were deployed, a control zone was set up, and nearby residents were evacuated. The prime minister extended condolences to the families of the victims and wished a swift recovery to those injured.
