The call followed a statement earlier Wednesday from Pakistan&#39;s Foreign Office regarding a resurgence of violence in Yemen. &ldquo;Pakistan expresses complete solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and reaffirms its commitment to the security of the Kingdom,&rdquo; the Foreign Office statement said. Pakistan reiterated its support for Yemen&#39;s unity and territorial integrity and called for a de-escalation of tensions. &ldquo;Pakistan maintains its firm support for the resolution of the Yemen issue through dialogue and diplomacy,&rdquo; the statement said. The Foreign Office also expressed hope that Yemen&rsquo;s people and regional powers would work together toward an &ldquo;inclusive and enduring settlement of the issue, safeguarding regional stability.&rdquo;

While speaking at a dinner with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, US President Trump, in his speech said: &ldquo;Just yesterday, the United Nations Security Council formally adopted my peace plan and officially endorsed the Board of Peace.&rdquo; In his speech, shared on White House&rsquo;s YouTube channel on Wednesday, President Trump said, &ldquo;This is a board like no other. There will never be a board like the board that we&#39;re gonna be announcing,&rdquo; he added. &lsquo;Everybody wants to be on the board&rsquo;The US president said, &ldquo;Everybody wants to be on the board, and it&#39;ll end up being quite a large board because it&#39;ll be the heads of every major country.&rdquo; Regarding the passage of the resolution from the UN, Trump said: &ldquo;And the United Nations passed it, I guess unanimously, you can say. China, which was against it, took a pass, didn&#39;t vote against it. And Russia, which was against it, didn&#39;t vote against it.&rdquo; &ldquo;So we appreciate it because one, one negative vote and it doesn&#39;t happen.&rdquo; &lsquo;Beautiful lasting peace&rsquo;He said, &ldquo;It&#39;s called the Board of Peace and watch for it because it&#39;s gonna do some fantastic things. And I know we&#39;re both deeply committed to an enduring ceasefire.&rdquo; &ldquo;It grows into the beautiful lasting peace and, uh, we&#39;ve got things going at numbers and far ahead of schedule that nobody thought was possible,&rdquo; Trump added.

ISLAMABAD: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman said Riyadh wants to join the Abraham Accords but only with a &ldquo;clear path of two-state solution,&rdquo; placing the Israeli-Palestinian issue at the forefront of his White House meeting with US President Donald Trump. Speaking alongside Trump in the Oval Office, the crown prince said, &ldquo;We want to be part of the Abraham Accords. But we want also to be sure that we secure a clear path of two-state solution.&rdquo; He added, &ldquo;We&rsquo;re going to work on that, to be sure that we can prepare the right situation as soon as possible.&rdquo; Trump said he had pressed the prince to pursue normalization with Israel as part of the regional agreements launched during his first term. The renewed diplomatic push came during a lavish welcome for the Saudi leader, whom Trump greeted with cannon fire, a horseback parade, and a military flypast featuring F-35 jets that he said the United States would &ldquo;soon sell to Riyadh.&rdquo; Inside the Oval Office, Trump praised the crown prince as an &ldquo;incredible&rdquo; partner, while bin Salman announced a dramatic expansion of Saudi investments in the United States. &ldquo;We can announce that we are going to increase that $600 billion to almost $1 trillion for investment,&rdquo; the prince said. Trump, grinning, asked him to confirm the figure. The crown prince responded: &ldquo;Definitely.&rdquo; The show of warmth reflects Trump&rsquo;s efforts to strengthen ties with the Gulf kingdom as he seeks to transform the Gaza ceasefire into a broader regional peace process. Saudi crown prince&rsquo;s insistence on securing a two-state framework, however, places the Palestinian question at the center of any future Saudi&ndash;Israeli normalization efforts.
