ISLAMABAD: The Indian Minister for External Affairs Dr Subrahmanyam Jaishankar and Poland&rsquo;s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski engaged in a diplomatic row on Tuesday during the European minister&rsquo;s visit to India, with Poland saying Indian participation in the Russian-led Zapad-2025 military drills was considered threatening by the European country.&nbsp; During Sikorski&#39;s visit to India, Jaishankar took a dig at the Polish foreign minister over Poland&rsquo;s relationship with Pakistan. In an attempt to call out the Polish foreign minister&rsquo;s visit to Pakistan last year, Jaishankar said that &ldquo;selective targeting of India is both unfair and unjustified.&rdquo;&nbsp; &ldquo;Deputy Prime Minister, you are no stranger to our region and are more than familiar with the long-standing challenges of cross-border terrorism,&rdquo; the Indian foreign minister said in a meeting with the counterpart. &ldquo;I hope at this meeting to discuss some of your recent travels to the region,&rdquo; Jaishankar said, adding that the European country &ldquo;should display zero tolerance for terrorism and not help fuel the terrorist infrastructure in our neighborhood.&rdquo;&nbsp; While speaking to the press after the meeting, the Polish foreign minister said that all states have &ldquo;regional concerns&rdquo; regarding neighboring countries; however, he added that with neighbors, &ldquo;you have opportunities and challenges.&rdquo;&nbsp; &ldquo;We also have concerns. India took part in the Zapad exercises in Russia that we find threatening,&rdquo; the Polish foreign minister said. He added that he was &quot;very glad that we were able to discuss frankly what&#39;s on our minds.&quot;

ISLAMABAD: US President Donald Trump on Wednesday said that &ldquo;eight planes were shot down&rdquo; in the conflict between India and Pakistan in May, stating that he was in the middle of a &ldquo;trade deal with both of them&rdquo; during the time. While referring to the aerial encounters between the neighbors, Trump has repeatedly said &ldquo;seven planes were shot down&rdquo; during the war. ISLAMABAD: An arbitration may take place in case the Indian cricket team formally asks for the Asia Cup Trophy after refusing to accept it on Sunday night at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. The team had decided not to accept the trophy from&nbsp;Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who is also Pakistan&rsquo;s cricket board chief and the country&#39;s interior minister. The two South Asian neighbors fought a brief but intense war in May after India attacked Pakistan, accusing it of orchestrating a terror attack on its territory. Their cricket teams met three times amid visible tensions among players and spectators. &ldquo;I have been informed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) that the Indian cricket team will not be collecting their awards tonight,&rdquo; broadcaster Simon Doull caught many by surprise when he first broke the news during a live coverage of the Pakistan-India match.&nbsp;&nbsp;Indian team&rsquo;s stand and BCCI&rsquo;s protestIndian Team captain Suryakumar Yadav said the decision not to accept the trophy was made collectively on the field and was not directed by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) or political authorities.
