ISLAMABAD: Pakistan&rsquo;s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad, met with UN Special Envoy for Yemen Hans Grundberg to discuss the latest developments in Yemen and ongoing efforts to advance the peace process, according to a statement by Permanent Mission of Pakistan to the UN, released Thursday. During the meeting, Iftikhar reaffirmed Pakistan&rsquo;s unwavering support for a Yemeni-led, Yemeni-owned and United Nations-facilitated political process aimed at achieving a comprehensive and sustainable peace in Yemen. He commended Grundberg&rsquo;s continued efforts to promote dialogue among Yemeni stakeholders and reduce tensions amid the fragile security situation.
