ISLAMABAD: Pakistan&rsquo;s military eliminated fifteen terrorists linked to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, on Thursday in the southwest province of Balochistan, according to a statement from the military&rsquo;s media wing, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).&nbsp;According to the statement, &ldquo;intelligence-based operations (IBO) were conducted in Harnai and Basima Districts&rdquo; following reports of the presence of &ldquo;Khwarij ex Fitna al Khwarij.&rdquo;&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;During the operation in Harnai, the military &ldquo;effectively engaged the Khwarij Hideout&rdquo; and after an intense engagement, &ldquo;twelve Indian sponsored Khwarij&rdquo; were eliminated, ISPR said. ISPR added that &ldquo;weapons, ammunition, and explosives&rdquo; were also recovered from the terrorists. President Asif Ali Zardari also paid tribute to the security forces for the operation in Balochistan. In a statement from his office, Zardari said eliminating foreign-backed terrorism is the &ldquo;top priority&rdquo; of the country. He also praised the &ldquo;professional capability and resolve of the security forces.&rdquo; &ldquo;In the unwavering resolve for the protection of the motherland, the entire nation stands shoulder to shoulder with the security forces,&rdquo; he said in his statement. Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also commended the security forces for the operation in Balochistan against the Fitna-al-Khawarij and Fitna-al-Hindustan. In a statement from the prime minister&rsquo;s office, Sharif said the military was achieving &ldquo;great successes against terrorism.&rdquo; &ldquo;In this war against terrorism, the entire nation stands with the Pakistan Armed Forces; we are committed to the complete elimination of terrorism from the country,&rdquo; Sharif said in the statement.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan&rsquo;s Foreign Office on Thursday summoned Afghanistan&rsquo;s deputy head of mission and lodged a strong protest over a terrorist attack in Bajaur that resulted in the martyrdom of 11 Pakistani soldiers. It said the attack was carried out by Fitna al-Khawarij, referring to the proscribed Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), a terrorist group that operates from Afghan territory with its leadership based there. According to the Foreign Office, the government condemned &ldquo;in strongest possible terms&rdquo; the vehicle-borne suicide bombing followed by a fire assault on a military and law enforcement post in the district. He said Pakistan has received repeated assurances from the Afghan Taliban regime but has not seen concrete action. Andrabi said Pakistan called on the Afghan Taliban regime to take immediate and verifiable steps against all militant groups operating from its territory, including their leadership. He stated that Pakistan informed the Afghan Taliban regime that it reserves the right to act against members of the Fitna al-Khawarij group and their affiliates wherever they are located to protect its soldiers, civilians, and territorial boundaries. Separately, while speaking to the media, the foreign office said that the country&rsquo;s patience was &ldquo;obviously not unlimited&rdquo; when it came to Afghanistan&rsquo;s actions, adding that the country reserved the right &ldquo;of any action in our right to self-defense.&rdquo; Pakistan Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi said that there was &ldquo;no positive response from Afghanistan to Pakistan&#39;s very legitimate demands that Afghan territory should not be used for terrorism inside Pakistan.&rdquo; &ldquo;So as long as this demand is not met, while exercising patience, all options would obviously remain on table,&rdquo; adding that &ldquo;we cannot let our people to be killed mercilessly.&rdquo;

ISLAMABAD:&nbsp;Pakistan&rsquo;s military media wing, the Inter-Services Public Relations, said on Friday that 41 terrorists were killed in two separate intelligence-based operations in Balochistan on Jan. 29. &ldquo;On 29 January 2026, forty-one terrorists belonging to Indian proxy, Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan, were killed in two separate operations in Balochistan,&rdquo; the ISPR said. An intelligence-based operation was conducted on the outskirts of Harnai District in response to the reported presence of terrorists.&nbsp; During the conduct of the operation, troops effectively engaged the hideout, and after an intense fire exchange, 30 Indian-sponsored terrorists were killed.&nbsp; A large cache of ammunition and explosives was also recovered and destroyed on the spot. Another operation was conducted in Panjgur district, in which a terrorist hideout was destroyed, and 11 Indian-sponsored terrorists were neutralized.&nbsp; Looted money recovered&nbsp;Besides weapons and ammunition, looted money from a bank robbery in Panjgur on December 15, 2025, was also recovered from the killed terrorists.&nbsp; The terrorists were involved in numerous terrorist activities in the past, the statement said. Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian sponsored terrorist found in the area, the ISPR statement said.&nbsp; &lsquo;Azm e Istehkam&rsquo;&ldquo;Relentless Counter Terrorism campaign under vision &ldquo;Azm e Istehkam&rdquo; (as approved by Federal Apex Committee on National Action Plan) by security forces and law enforcement agencies of Pakistan will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country,&rdquo; the ISPR statement concluded. Fitna al Khwarij and Fitna al Hindustan are terms used by Pakistan for the banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan militants, whom it accuses of operating from Afghan soil, backed by India.

According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the operations were conducted on January 13 and 14 following reports of militant presence in Bannu and Kurram districts. In the first operation, carried out in the Bannu district, security forces engaged militants after establishing their location. &ldquo;During the conduct of operation, own troops effectively engaged the Khwarij location, and after an intense fire exchange, eight Khawarij were sent to hell,&rdquo; the ISPR said. Islamabad refers to the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) as &ldquo;Khawarij,&rdquo; drawing on a historical term for an extremist sect from early Islamic history that defied recognized authority and branded other Muslims as unbelievers. In a separate intelligence-based operation in Kurram district, five Indian-backed militants were killed during an exchange of fire, the military said. The ISPR said that sanitization operations were underway in both areas to eliminate any remaining militants. &ldquo;Sanitization operations are being conducted to eliminate any other Indian-sponsored militants found in the area,&rdquo; the statement said, adding that the armed forces&rsquo; &ldquo;relentless counter-terrorism campaign under the vision &lsquo;Azm-e-Istehkam&rsquo; will continue at full pace to wipe out the menace of foreign-sponsored and supported terrorism from the country.&rdquo; Pakistan has witnessed a surge in militant violence in recent years, particularly in KP and Balochistan, following the TTP&rsquo;s decision to end its ceasefire with the government in November 2022. Earlier this month, the military said terrorist incidents increased sharply following the military conflict with India in May last year, stating that, in its assessment, India subsequently activated proxy groups operating from Afghanistan to destabilize Pakistan.

according to KP police&#39;s official Facebook page.&nbsp;&ldquo;The martyred officers and soldiers laid down their lives in the line of duty; the entire force takes immense pride in them,&rdquo; the IGP said, adding that the morale of the police force remains high.&nbsp;He stated that the sacrifices of the martyrs would never go in vain and assured that the families of the fallen officers would be provided &ldquo;every possible cooperation and full support.&rdquo;
